In the early 80's I lived in Paris. This genuine French Gerald Franck 100% silk scarf was purchased at Galeries Lafayette during that time. This massive Paris department store is known for their high-end designer merchandise. The scarf has been worn. It has also been well-maintained and properly stored. I have carefully examined it and there are no snags, marks, rips, stains, odors, or any other demarcations. I classify it as "pre-owned: in mint condition." The quality of the silk is very high, as can be seen from the texture & lay of the drape. Tightly hand-rolled & stitched hems. Very soft to the touch. One side has a matte finish while the other side has a high sheen to it. This is the side where the designer's logo is imprinted. Often in other high-end designer scarves the design is imprinted only on one side with the opposite side clearly less vibrant with a faded look. This scarf has two "right sides", in my opinion. The color of red is spectacular and the overall theme is a family of pheasants meandering through the French forest. A beautiful, beautiful scarf. The purchaser will be getting a high-quality accessory that, with proper care, will last for many years. Always chic, and never out of style.
